What do we leave behind when we chase our dreams? We collect Everest's abandoned tents and turn them into clothes, art and film.

InTents

What do we leave behind when we chase our dreams?

The mission isn’t the summit. We go up to bring something back down — abandoned tents remade into clothes, art and a film. What’s left up there is a mirror: ambition, ego, the price of chasing a dream. Not another report nobody reads. We say it out loud, and we show it to the world.

Everest — the problem in numbers

01 0 Tonnes of waste left on Everest (est.)
02 0 Tents left at Camp 4 in one season
03 0 Waste left behind per climber (est.)
04 0 Visitors to the region each year

Widely cited estimates — but we know the issue is real, and we need to act.

Core partners, contributors and advisors — fashion, film, funding and the mountain.

In their words — the InTents vision

“Filming it is the easy part. The hard part is putting it in front of people who have never thought about Everest, and making it stay with them. Nothing on that mountain changes until someone down here decides to care. It starts with you.”

“Don’t waste tents. For the past half a decade Our Shift has been repurposing broken tents from festivals — now it’s time to take it to a higher level.”

“A tent is a material, not a problem. If we can get it down, clean it and test it, it has another life — and someone has to fund that part too.”

“The damage stays visible. We’re not hiding the tears or the sun bleaching. That’s the evidence.”

“Nothing works in Nepal without local partners. If the recovery doesn’t make sense for the people living there, it doesn’t make sense at all.”
